It is a natural desire of all artists to have their work appreciated and recognised. However, no one in the art world, not even seasoned, established artists, has it easy. A professional presentation and well-crafted visual records of your performances are essential.
The problem lies in the fact that recording performance art in a high-quality manner is challenging, and amateurish photographs are proof of an amateur approach, which erodes the confidence of artists. It is unjust that many artists are unable to receive recognition due to the poor quality of their presentations, which eventually deters them from pursuing careers in the arts.
I have spent the last 20 years specialising in professional performance art photography because I know how frustrating and stressful it can be to be passed over.
