I have experienced firsthand how stressful and frustrating it can get to collaborate with photographers who do not understand and appreciate art; their photographs rarely represent the art piece's quality and uniqueness.

It is so natural that every creator wants to be recognised and appreciated for their creations. Yet the art world is not making it easy for anyone, even for seasoned artists with long careers. Getting a high-quality presentation and professional photographic documentation of your artistic output is critical. The usual problem is that professional-level artwork photography is complicated, while easy DIY-style photographs inevitably lower the chances of success, impacting creators’ confidence and motivation. It is unfair that presentation quality prevents so many artists from being recognised, often discouraging them from pursuing their art careers in the long run.
I can understand the undeserved frustration and stress caused by being unfairly overlooked; therefore, I have specialised in professional photography of artworks for the last 20 years.

What kind of works of art do you photograph?

Do you have a services pricelist or day rate?
I do have a day rate however, I usually provide clients a personalized offer for their specific assignment to ensure they receive the best value and the right solution. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your project and how I can assist you.
Do you offer discounts?
While I don't provide price discounts, I am open to exploring other solutions that could work in your favour. For example, you could arrange a combined photo shoot for more than one artist, or I can set up flexible payment plans. Let me know if you would like to discuss these options further.
Can you shoot in a client's space and not your studio?
I prefer to work at a client's location because it is usually much more convenient to transport my equipment to my client than to transport works of art to my studio. It also allows for higher client comfort and artwork safety. However, every case is different, and I am flexible. I can work in different locations depending on the project's needs. Please contact me if you want me to provide more information or discuss your situation.
What if I have no space available to make a shooting.
If your available room is unsuitable for the photo shoot, we can arrange the shooting at our studio or another preferred location. However, before this happens, I need to assess in detail the handling and logistical challenges (quantity, size, weight, material, etc.) required to transport the works.
What copyrights are licensed to the clients, and how can the images be used?
Upon completion of payment, I grant unlimited copyrights to the client. All images can be used without ANY limitations (medium, period, territory, etc.) or additional payments. The rights are non-exclusive and non-transferable.
What files does the customer receive?
Customers receive every image as ready-to-use files in TIFF and JPEG formats; the files are fully processed according to museum imaging standards. Additionally, customers also receive unprocessed RAW files for archival and future reference purposes and future reprocessing.
What is the Museum archival imaging standard?
Museum imaging standards, such as FADGI or Metamorfoze.nl, are guides for digitising cultural heritage items like artworks, photos, and manuscripts. Following these standards guarantees that the digitised images are of high quality, accuracy, and consistency for research, preservation, and learning. FADGI is the abbreviation for Federal Agencies Digital Guidelines Initiative, whereas Metamorfoze is a programme for preserving paper-based heritage in the Netherlands. Both standards instruct in detail on equipment, image resolution, colour management, file types, and metadata.
How and when should I pay?
First, we'll decide on what needs to be done and how much it costs. Then, I'll send you an invoice that requires you to pay 50% of the cost upfront before I start working. Once I finish, I'll send another invoice for the remaining 50%. You only own the rights to the work after you pay for everything. If you'd like, I could let you pay in installments with Paypal over the course of up to a year.
Do I have to pay extra if I cancel?
If you cancel the shooting within 48 hours of the scheduled time, I'll charge 50% of the payment we agreed upon. If you reschedule the shooting for another day, I'll charge 20%.
